Each session begins with an initial intake, which consists of a conversation with the client, as well as a questionnaire. Subjects like lifestyle, diet, stress levels, medical issues and relationships are touched on. Based on what we learn, we will craft a customized session for each client.

 

During a massage session, Irma will follow the needs of the moment, not a routine. Each session is fresh, spontaneous, and interactive. We also encourage each client to focus on their breathing throughout a session, as this is important to allow oxygen to reach the muscles and relax.

 

SPORTS MASSAGE

Sports massage therapy is targeted toward athletes of every skill level, from weekend jogger to professional athletes, as it focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Sports massage can lessen discomfort and tension, while also becoming a key part of your exercise regimen. Athletes have discovered that specially designed sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares their body and mind for optimal performance.
